Our Vision for the Future

The ARDSI has a vision.

The ARDSI vision is to make everyone understand how to deal and cope with the many challenges the disease throws up. To provide those who suffer and their family careers a support network that lightens their burden.

To give practical shape to this vision of ours, we have:

Set up a counselling group, and want to expand its activities and services.
Established a help line to disseminate information about AD and give advice to the family members of the AD patients and various citizen’s groups in Delhi to remove, among other things, the stigma and fear related to Alzheimer’s disease.
Initiated steps to establish a day care centre with trained professionals to give respite to families of first and second stage of Alzheimer’s patients.
Arranged to provide access to legal expertise for the afflicted and their families.

Awareness, understanding, access to the right information, transparency and solidarity can go a long way in taking the sting out of a seemingly despairing situation.
